Synopsis
Oscar has to distract Lucy while the Yetis prepare a surprise for her.
Description
Lucy, Oscar, and Hedgehog arrive at the Yeti Meadow to celebrate Yeti Confetti, a 5-day long holiday that Lucy says is very dear to her. When the three get fitted for translation earmuffs, Saxophone whispers to Oscar and Hedgehog two secrets. One being that Lucy is part yeti, which the duo already knew about, and the other secret that she would be told at the welcome dinner, with a plan to distract her for the day in order to be kept away from all of the party planning to avoid ruining the surprise.
Once preparations for Yeti Confetti begin, Hedgehog is given an exciting task while Oscar and Lucy are separated from her and the rest to do a long list of chores. Lucy is immediately confused as to why she has been assigned this. Though Oscar does his best to play it off, her frustration grows as they continue their work. They decide to take a break, but her book club, Viola, along with a few other yetis run away at the sight of her. This brings Lucy to think that the Yetis hate her, the thought makes her feel very upset and hurt. Oscar tries to reassure her that the Yetis do care for her, but fails. As Lucy decides to leave the meadow and return to camp, he blurts out the secrets despite her not believing his words.
Before she leaves however, Lucy decides to head over to the welcome dinner party in order to have something to eat. At first, she is denied entrance, much to her anger, but is then brought inside. The truth is revealed to her once more by Xylophone, and she believes it this time, grateful that she is a member of the Yeti community and for them caring for her after all.
