Debut The First Day

Oscar Peltzer is one of two protagonists in ?Summer Camp Island, along with his best friend Hedgehog.

Appearance

Oscar is a young elephant who is around the same height as Hedgehog. He has a small trunk with no tusks, light tan colored fur, and rosy cheeks. He wears a navy blue sweater with a white shirt underneath, light blue jeans, white socks, and maroon shoes.

Personality

Oscar is very earnest in nature. He is naive, but shows lots of affection towards those who understand him, most notably Hedgehog. He has an easy time making new friends.

In The First Day, Oscar became homesick quickly after his parents left. The feeling continued to grow, to the point where he almost returned home through ?Dr. P. Shark's magical door. However, he turned back when he overheard his parents saying "he'll love it when he gets used to it".

While Oscar often describes ?Susie as his worst enemy, he doesn't show any actual aggression towards her. Over time, he's grown respect for her.

Relationships

Hedgehog

Hedgehog is Oscar's best friend. They've known each other ever since they were babies,1 and have grown inseparable. Oscar is always able to make Hedgehog laugh, and even when they do fight they make up quickly. They both tease each other, though Hedgehog teases Oscar more.

Hedgehog deeply cares for Oscar, with both of them always being there for each other. She calls him "Boo-Boo" when they both learn etiquette together at a school.2

Alice

Oscar and Alice are friends, and likely related as they are both in the elephant family(Elephantidae).3
