Synopsis

Oscar and his best friend Hedgehog arrive at Summer Camp Island with the intent to do typical camp activities only to discover that the camp counselors are witches and everything on the island is alive. While Hedgehog takes a liking to her new surroundings, Oscar has difficulty adjusting.

Description

The First Day is about Oscar and Hedgehog (along with all the other ?campers) arriving at ?Summer Camp Island, expecting to do normal summer camp activities. However, once the campers' parents leave, the ?counselors reveal that the island is actually magical. Although Hedgehog is excited, Oscar experiences a lot of difficulty adjusting to his new environment. To help Oscar adjust, him and Hedgehog attempt to have a normal sleepover party, but things go awry when nearly everything around him, even his own ?pajamas, are magical. Eventually, he retreats to ?Dr. P. Shark's office, where Dr. Shark gives Oscar the choice to return to his home and his parents. However, he decides against it when he overhears his ?mom and ?dad talking about how he'll "love it when he gets used to it." Oscar stays, beginning to become adjusted to and eventually embrace his new environment over time.
